Hi, I’m Lucy (Zhihua) Hu — a bilingual professional with a passion for building bridges between language, technology, and data.
I am currently completing my M.A. in Translation & Localization Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS), where I’ve honed skills in project management, localization workflows, and language technologies. With a previous background as a data and business analyst in the finance industry, I bring a unique ability to combine data-driven insights with cross-cultural communication.
What I Do
- Localization Project Management – Coordinating vendors, workflows, and quality assurance to deliver localized products that resonate with global users.
- Data Analytics – Turning raw data into actionable insights using SQL, Python, and visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau to support decision-making.
- Media & Storytelling – Experienced in audio/video localization, public speaking, and community-building through creative platforms such as MISpeakers, a public speaking and improv club I founded at MIIS.
My Approach
I thrive in roles that require precision, creativity, and collaboration. Whether managing a global localization project or analyzing complex datasets, I focus on clarity, efficiency, and cultural empathy. My strength lies in connecting teams across languages and functions, ensuring that both the message and the metrics align.
Beyond Work
Outside of my professional pursuits, I love dancing, hiking, and storytelling. I believe that creativity and curiosity fuel innovation — whether on the stage, in a dataset, or within a global project team.
